Minimum of 6 people Sunday to Thursday

A minimum of 8 people on Friday and Saturday

This menu will be available to all bookings from 1st September - 30th November 2024

Starters

Smooth chicken liver parfait - toasted brioche - onion marmalade - Autumn leaves


Hot falafel scotch egg - whipped herb ricotta - tahini dressing


Smoked trout - potato and chive salad - avocado and grapefruit salad.

 

All starters are served with homemade bread rolls with butter from Winter Tarn dairy.

Main courses

Beef Bourguignon - creamed potato - red wine sauce


Pan-fried  Hake fillet – Chorizo, samphire and baby

potatoes – salsa Verdi


Teriyaki glazed aubergine – sesame roasted cauliflower – zaatar halloumi

Selection of seasonal vegetables

Desserts

Crème brulee with Italian pistachio cookie


Sticky toffee pudding – salted caramel sauce – clotted cream

Lake Buttermere Autumn menu

Buttermere

£75.00 per person

Minimum of 6 people Sunday to Thursday

A minimum of 8 people on Friday and Saturday

This menu will be available to all bookings from 1st September - 30th November 2024

Canapes

Smoked salmon and chive creme Fraiche cone with black onion seeds.

Butternut squash tartlet with a cashew pesto crumble. 

 

Starters

Roast pork belly - Sichuan pepper and crab apple relish.

Heritage beetroot - creamed goats curd - sharp blackberries - chicory salad - local runny honey. 


Pan-fried king scallops – cauliflower puree - shallot and caper dressing. 

All starters served with homemade bread rolls with butter from 

Winter Tarn dairy.
 

Soup 

Mini seasonal soup in an expresso cup

Main courses

Loin of Kentmere lamb –  pea puree - fondant potato – Port wine sauce.


 Pan fried cod loin – saffron potatoes – Autumn ratatouille - salsa verde.

Roast harissa cauliflower steak - warm lemon chick peas - toasted caraway seeds and almonds. 

Desserts

A selection of traditional British pudding in miniature to include all three

Sticky toffee pudding - treacle tart - bread and butter pudding served with a jug of custard.


Milk chocolate and Biscoff torte – butterscotch sauce -  Winter berries.
